Searching for Japan
#Japan #Earthquake
Use this Google Person Finder to locate people or provide information about people in Japan. The default language is Japanese, but you can change it by clicking one of the language links. You can also download Google Chrome and translate the site into any one of several dozen languages.
If you’re looking for someone, click on “I’m looking for someone” in the green box and type in their name. If no information comes up, click the grey, oblong link below that reads, “Create a new record for a missing person,” fill out the information on the next page, and then click “Save this record.”
If you have information about someone, click on “I have information about someone” in the blue box. On the next page, fill out that person’s name, and then click the “Provide information about this person” box. Then, on the next page, fill out the information and click the “Save this record” button.
If your friend or relative is in the military, works for a large corporation, or is otherwise affiliated with a large group of people, try to find them through that group of people or entity. Communication has been knocked out in many parts of Japan, so they are trying to get in touch with you as much as you are trying to get in touch with them. Don’t give up your search. Don’t give up your hope. Without communication in many parts of Japan many Japanese people feel isolated from the world. Let’s reach out to them.
Stay safe my friends,
Erick
